Summer Reading Program Wrap Up
We had over 1300 reading logs returned from our Kernersville patrons during the Summer Reading Program. There were 1 child, 1 teen and 30 adult prize winners as well as a grand prize winner for the Forsyth County Public Library system right here in Kernersville. Thank you all for participating!

Advanced Planning!!!
There is a scrapbooking club being organized now (to start in January 2012). If you are interested in shaping this club, please let me know! There will be an Introduction to Scrapbooking class in December. Keep your eyes open for more information to come.
On the Same Page 2011- Community Reads Program
This year’s On the Same Page program will feature Cameron Kent’s The Road to Devotion. It is set in the 1860s in Winston, North Carolina. The book is a simple, family-friendly read with an engaging plot and fantastic pieces of history intertwined. The themes of compassion, friendship, and hope are brilliantly developed in this historical fiction novel.
Kernersville area events will include a book discussion at Shakespeare and Company on Sept. 24, a writing workshop lead by Jennifer Stevenson on Oct. 1, and a library book discussion on Oct. 6.
