Hello! Thank you for indicating your interest in getting advanced notice of Kernersville programs for adults. Here are a few special programs that will be coming to Kernersville over the next few weeks.
Saturday, April 9- Energy Saving, Low Cost Housing & Home Maintenance Tips (11:00am-12:30pm; Room 4- basement)
If you are short on time and money, learn the skills to maintain your living environments inside and outside. This program will cover energy-saving and cleaning tips for every room in the house or apartment as well as how to maintain the area with affordable and safe products. Please call Kathy Hepler at 336-703-2852 to register!

Monday, April 11- Golf Ergonomics (6-7pm; Room 7- basement)
This event is part of the Wellness Series, which is sponsored by The Foundation for Wellness Professionals. The event is free, and there will be light refreshments. However, seats are limited, so please call 336-996-7007 to register for this event.
Friends of the Library Noon Book Club
This group meets on the first Thursday of every month (September through May) to discuss books. The selections vary greatly each month so there’s something for everyone! The April book is The Help by Kathryn Stockett. Henrietta Barret will lead the discussion. 
Tax Time
Please remember that Federal income tax forms are available for pick up at the Library through April 30th. If you need free tax preparation assistance, please call the Senior Center at 992-0591 to schedule an appointment. Some restrictions do apply.
Check Out an eReader @ Your Library!
Kernersville Branch Library has 1 Sony eReader and 1 Barnes & Noble Nook available for 1 week loans. These eReaders come pre-loaded with a variety of adult and children/teen titles for you to enjoy. The Library wants to provide you with a chance to try out two different types of eReaders before you make a purchase. If you are interested in trying this new service, feel free to ask any staff member for more information. You must present a valid library card AND picture ID in order to check out an eReader.
Reading Recommendations With NextReads
For those of you interested in getting reading recommendations (both print and audiobooks), sign up for a NextReads newsletter. All three librarians at Kernersville serve as editors for newsletters: William Durham, Branch Manager- Business & Personal Finance; Stefani Kellum, Youth Services Librarian- Tween Reads; Crystal Holland, Adult Services Librarian- Self Help.
