Thursday, November 3 @ 12 noon in the Paddison Room- The Friends of the Kernersville Library Noon Book Club will welcome authors Pete Edris and Raymond Reid. They will be discussing and selling their WWII memoir entitled Dying for Another Day. All are welcome!
Monday, November 7 @ 6:30 pm in the Paddison Room- WWII Documentary Films. If They Could See Us Now & How I Survived World War II. Chris Hudson, an Emmy nominated director and producer with Time Warner Cable will be showing his 2 documentaries in the Paddison Room this month. We’ve timed this visit to honor all who serve both stateside and abroad in the armed forces. Monday, November 14 @ 6:00 pm in Room 7 (in basement)- Stay Fit While You Sit. This event is part of the Wellness Series, which is sponsored by The Foundation for Wellness Professionals. RSVP is required.
Wednesday, November 16 @ 1:00 pm in the Paddison Room- Genealogy Basics. Reba Jones, a volunteer in the North Carolina Room, is a family history researcher with 30 years of experience. She will be teaching a beginner class here in Kernersville.This class is non-computer based but some electronic resources will be touched upon. The beginner genealogy class is suitable for people who are in the earliest stages of their family history research. Reba will focus primarily on vital (birth, marriage and death records) and census records.

There is a scrapbooking club being organized now (to start in January 2012). If you are interested in shaping this club, please let Crystal Holland know! There will be an Introduction to Scrapbooking class on Tuesday, December 6th @ 6:30pm. Keep your eyes open for more information to come.

Friday, Nov. 4th at 4:00pm in Room 1 – Family Flick Friday. Join us for a free recently-released family-friendly movie with popcorn and drinks! Reply to this email to find out what movie we’re showing.
Friday, Nov. 11th from 3-5pm in Room 1 – Pirates vs. Ninjas Party for Boys. It’s an age-old debate, but you must choose. Will you be a pirate or a ninja?! Come dressed as your choice, and we’ll have pirate and ninja activities, crafts, and snacks. Plus, catch a magic show from pirate magician Captain Jim at 4pm! For boys ages 11 and under.
Tuesday, Nov. 15th at 4:30pm in Room 7 – Gaming for Teens. Challenge your friends to play Just Dance 3 and Mario Kart on our brand new Wii! For ages 12-18.
Preschool Storytime (ages 3-6): Wednesday, Nov. 2 at 10:15am in Room 4 (in basement). We’re reading books about monkeys! Additional dates are: Nov. 9th & 16th.
Toddler Storytime (ages 2 and under): Thursday, Nov. 3 at 10:30am in Room 4 (in basement). We’re reading books about monkeys! Additional dates are: Nov. 10th & 17th.
